We Have a Ghost is 2023 American supernatural horror comedy film written and directed by Christopher Landon, grounded on the 2017 short story" Ernest" by Geoff Manaugh. It stars David Harbour, Jahi Winston, Tig Notaro, Jennifer Coolidge and Anthony Mackie. It was released on February 24, 2023, by Netflix and entered mixed reviews from film critics.

Plot:
One time after the last possessors fled in terror, the Presleys are shown a house. Suspicious of the low price, the estate agent insists that lately prices have been low. On the first night Kevin, the youthful, investigates a sound in the garret. Using his mobile phone light, a ghost appears. When he fails to scarify Kevin but rather gets met with a laugh, he vanishes.
Kevin returns to the garret and sits down to talk with the ghost. He can not talk and does not flash back anything about his life. Kevin calls him Ernest as that's the name on his bowling shirt. Suddenly Kevin's big family Fulton barges in. As he is bullying Kevin for his phone, Ernest helps him. Fulton finds a videotape Kevin had recorded of Ernest when he first saw him and soon shows their father Frank that their new home is visited by a ghost. Frank creates a YouTube channel, gets more videotape of him and, after persuading the mama Mel they could benefit from him, makes the ghost and his family Internet- notorious. In high academy Kevin meets Joy, the neighbor. She refers to his home as the house of death. Once the videotape of Ernest goes viral, they cross paths in the library and Joy snappily finds that the house's proprietor ErnestS. lived there from'65 to'71 and is now abiding away. The West Bay string television medium Judy Romano comes to film meeting Ernest. Kevin shows him colorful horror clips to help him be scarier.
It does not take long for Ernest to scarify her crew, but indeed Judy reacts in terror, jumping out the window. The post of the Mrs.'s response goes record- breaking viral. Joy convinces Kevin that they need to take Ernest out to a bar formerly belonging to the house's history proprietor to try and jog his memory. They start to uncover the verity about Ernest's history, first a print of him with the former house proprietor, also he becomes fixated on a little golden girl in the demesne. still,Dr. Leslie Monroe visits Frank and Mel, telling them about an old program she ran with the CIA. Called Wizard Clip, it's thing was to catch a ghost.

When cost of the program was made given to the public they scrapped it, making her the goat. When she tries to move them that Ernest is dangerous, Frank throws her out. A viral videotape of Ernest with the girl in the demesne sets the CIA in stir. They break into the Presley home, but Kevin, Joy and Ernest have formerly left for Oklahoma to find the once house proprietor. The coming morning the Presley's are constrained into doing an appeal to seize the triad.
The broadcast comes on a convenience store television and they overrun the numerous police sedans chasing them. Arriving at the house in Oklahoma, the man tells the story of Randy( our Ernest), who he says came a drunk not suitable to manage with his woman's death from giving birth. He left his four- time-old son with them and faded.
Ernest makes himself visible, and the CIA swoops in. Back home, Kevin is depressed. Frank apologizes to him, feting he is been selfish at the family's expenditure. He also tells Kevin he is a much better man than he is. In the CIA installation, an aggressive agent is wearing a leg which triggers his memory. His old friend's woman carried June down while he killed him with a blow to the head. Ernest is being acted upon for not complying, butDr. Monroe helps him as they had had a positive commerce before and she senses his virtuousness. ErnestS. shows up at the house to kill Kevin, believing he is helping ghost Ernest get vengeance. He chases him to the garret, where Ernest and Frank attack him out of the window.

The CIA interrogate Kevin, seeking Ernest the ghost. He does not discover anything, but a flashback reveals that Kevin and Frank reunited him with his now 50 time-old son June. Happy at last, Ernest eventually is at peace and goes. The Presleys have a new moving day, but this time only a many long hauls down. Kevin and Joy are now a couple.
